Brief Points for Cleaning the Toomey ‘Allo’ & Bladder Glass Syringes.
• Cleaning agents with neutral PH between 6.0 – 8.0 are recommended.
• Do not process glass syringes with other manufacturer products.
• Universal accepted precautions for handling contaminated / bio-hazardous materials should be observed.
• Remove excess body fluids and tissues. Flush and rinse using running water.
• Soak and Pre-Cleaning prior to cleaning.
• Completely submerge the instrument in a neutral PH enzyme solution and flush vigorously. Ensure effective pre- cleaning.
• Immerse in a neutral PH ( 6.0-8.0 ) cleaning agent solution.
• Ensure medical devices are visibly to remove residual solution.
• Do not pile devices on top of each other.
• Sonicate medical devices.
• Rinse medical devices to remove residual solution.
• Check for the Damaged or worn parts or organic matter.
• All medical devices should be drip dried for several minutes before sterilization preparations.
• Wrap medical devices in a medically approved sterilization wrap.
• Autoclave.
• After sterilization, medical devices should remain in sterilization wrap or sterilization containers and stored in a clean dry environment.
